BOSTON UNIVERSITY CHAPTER HISTORY
The Boston University Associate Chapter of alpha Kappa Delta Phi, Sorority Inc. was officially established on April 12th, 1996 and was the third chapter of alpha Kappa Delta Phi to charter on the East Coast. The eight founding sisters - Jennifer Li, Kuangmei Lin, Naomi Muraoka, Anita Ramakrishna, Stephanie Tam, Elizabeth Tottenham, Susan Tran, and Kimberly Yan - were determined to be part of the first Asian-Interest sorority on Boston University’s campus and set a strong foundation for the future sisters to follow. alpha Kappa Delta Phi is still Boston University’s only Asian-Interest sorority. Our mission is to provide our members with the means to grow as sisters, scholars, leaders, philanthropists, and proponents of Asian-Awareness; and to provide our members with the support and resources needed to become strong, successful Alpha women

The Boston University Chapter Alumnae Association (CAA) was officially established on September 21st, 2015. After 19 years at Boston University, our chapter's alumnae network had amassed to 96 women spanning 22 years in age and 18 cities across the world. In an effort to bridge the gap between our alumnae and collegiate members, as well as to promulgate the sorority’s five pillars in our post-graduate lives, the CAA was formed by six alumnae: Kimberly Chang, Victoria Nguyen, Kim Vigilia, Jessica Lin, Emily Chau, and Vanessa Sumandal. Our mission is to connect our alumnae with one another through relevant programming and initiatives, and to aid our active collegiate members in the effective leadership of the chapter by providing resources, guidance, and opportunities for learning and professional development.
